Grant Thornton supported Mo-BRUK in the acquisition transaction of El-Kajo and Polskie Materiały Drogowe companies

Grant Thornton experts advised Mo-BRUK, listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW), in the process of acquiring a 95% stake in El-Kajo sp. z o.o. and a 100% stake in Polskie Materiały Drogowe sp. z o.o.

The Grant Thornton team, comprising Julia Brzezicka, Daniel Strójwąs, Bartosz Nowakowski, and Katarzyna Buda, supported Mo-BRUK in financial due diligence. Eliza Szprecher, Oskar Matuszczak, Katarzyna Ciesielska, and Dariusz Gałązka handled the tax due diligence, while Alicja Bańczerowska, Maria Katańska-Gromada, Bartosz Stephan, Wojciech Rzepiński, and Maja Jabłońska conducted legal due diligence. Our experts also provided transaction advisory services for the Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA).

As a result of the transaction, Mo-BRUK’s processing capacity, taking into account environmental permits for the processing of hazardous waste in the sintering and stabilization segment, will increase from the current 100,000 tons to 240,000 tons annually. Meanwhile, Mo-BRUK’s total processing capabilities for all waste, including hazardous and other waste, will increase from the current 170,000 tons to 390,000 tons annually.

El-Kajo and Polskie Materiały Drogowe operate in the hazardous waste processing and disposal industry, as well as in the production of construction materials.

Mo-BRUK is a leader in the Polish hazardous waste processing industry and selected fractions of municipal waste.
