Carry Pet Food acquired by Vafo Group – another cross-border transaction with M&A support provided by Grant Thornton

We are pleased to announce that on September 22nd, 2020 Euro-Industry sold 100% of shares in Carry Pet Food to the leader in the field of Pet Food in Europe – Vafo Group.

As part of the transaction, Grant Thornton’s team has provided the seller with comprehensive transaction advisory services, from identification of potential investors and preparation of information materials to legal transaction advisory and negotiations of business, financial, and legal aspects of the transaction documentation.

Carry Pet Food is a rapidly growing company which specialises in production of chews for dogs and operates mainly on export markets. It is the only manufacturer of high quality pressed bones in Europe.

Vafo Group is the European leader and producer of premium pet food known mainly under the Brit brand name. This family business has more than 25 years of history. The company’s head office is placed in Czech Republic. Its branches though are located in Finland, Germany, Sweden, Estonia, and currently also in Poland.

As a result of performed transaction, not only will Vafo Group strengthen its position on the European market but also it will expand its offer with high-quality pressed bones for dogs. Carry Pet Food, in turn, due to this transaction has gained an international partner the aim of whom is to support the company in implementation of its growth strategy and enable further expansion of the company on the international market.
