Biography
Karol is a Partner and Head of the M&A Legal Practice at Grant Thornton. He advises business owners, corporations, private equity funds, and other investors on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, including share and asset deals, joint ventures, management buyouts, and venture capital investments.
Since joining Grant Thornton in 2011, Karol has advised on more than 100 transactions across a broad range of industries, representing both buyers and sellers. He combines extensive transactional experience with a practical understanding of clients’ commercial objectives, focusing on the issues that genuinely affect transaction value, deal certainty, and the parties’ position following closing. Karol also advises shareholders on structuring their cooperation, including shareholders’ agreements, corporate governance, deadlock resolution mechanisms, and exit strategies. He represents clients in shareholder disputes and post-transaction litigation.
Karol combines a legal education from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań with a degree in Management from Poznań University of Economics and Business and completed his professional training as an attorney-at-law. He also completed the Behavioral Science of Management program at Yale School of Management and is currently an Executive MBA candidate at Kozminski University.
He is recognized as a Recommended Lawyer by The Legal 500 and a Rising Star Partner by IFLR1000.
