Grant Thornton advised Gaz-System on the acquisition of Gas Storage Poland from Orlen

Grant Thornton experts acted as transactional and financial advisors in Gaz-System's acquisition process of 100% equity stake in Gas Storage Poland, a subsidiary of Orlen.

As part of the transaction, we provided support in business and transactional advisory, as well as comprehensive tax and financial due diligence and valuation.

The divestment of shares in Gas Storage Poland by Orlen followed the decision of the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) approving the concentration of Orlen and PGNiG.

Gas Storage Poland operates in the regulated field of storing natural gas in storage facilities under a concession granted by the President of the Energy Regulatory Office.

GAZ-SYSTEM plays a strategic role in the Polish economy. The company is responsible for natural gas transmission, operates major gas pipelines in Poland and the Baltic Pipe undersea gas pipeline, and controls the LNG Terminal in Świnoujście.
