GrantThornton - regions
In 2025, Grant Thornton’s Deal Advisory teams advised on nearly 40 M&A transactions with a total value of approximately PLN 3.7 billion. Drawing on this experience, we have prepared the report “Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Transactions – Case Study 2025”, in which we present how the Polish M&A market operated in practice over the past year.

In the report, we share our hands-on experience from transactions executed across key sectors of the economy – including energy (with a strong focus on renewables), manufacturing, technology, media and telecommunications (TMT), IT, retail and services, as well as waste management, the food sector and healthcare. These projects were delivered by Deal Advisory teams of more than 100 professionals, combining financial, legal and tax advisory expertise.

What does the report cover?

  • Real-life M&A case studies on transactions we advised on in 2025,
  • Key market trends we observed, including consolidation, increasing investor selectivity, digitalisation and automation,
  • Sector-focused analysis, highlighting the leading role of energy and renewables, as well as the stabilisation of the IT market,
  • Insights from our experts, outlining how investor approaches are evolving and what to expect in 2026.

Our experience has been recognised in international rankings. In 2025, we ranked 2nd in Poland and 3rd in the CEE region in the Mergermarket league tables by number of completed M&A transactions.

The report is addressed to entrepreneurs, investors and executives responsible for growth, acquisitions and corporate strategy – all those seeking a practical understanding of how today’s M&A market operates.
