We are pleased to announce that the transaction concerning the purchase of 20.5% of shares in the share capital of YESTERSEN by the Polish industry investor, that is the capital group of FABRYKI MEBLI „FORTE” S.A. – has been closed.
Within the transaction, the Grant Thornton’s team has provided YESTERSEN and its shareholders with comprehensive transaction advisory, from identifying potential investors and preparing information materials concerning the company, to legal advisory in the transaction and negotiating financial, business and legal aspects of transaction documentation.
YESTERSEN is the biggest ecommerce platform in Poland offering unique furniture and accessories from iconic brands as well as vintage and antique shops. YESTERSEN’s product range currently comprises nearly 30,000 items from all over the world, including approximately 23,000 unique pieces. From 2018, the strategic investors of YESTERSEN are Mateusz Juroszek and Zbigniew Juroszek, that also owns i.a. ATAL and STS brands.
FORTE is one of the biggest European producer of self-assembled furniture. The company has currently five modern production plants in Poland, located in Ostrowia Mazowiecka, Suwałki, Białystok, and Hajnówka. The total production area of all of the Polish factories equals to 160,000 m² and the total storage area is 112,000 m². FORTE sells its products in over 40 countries worldwide (through the network of over 4,500 business partners). Over 80% of the total production goes abroad. The product offer is tailored to the needs of individual markets. Each year, over 800 new products are introduced to the offer.
The involvement of FORTE will enable YESTERSEN to create its own brand the aim of which is to increase the company’s recognition as well as improve margins and shorten delivery time. Part of the transaction funds will be allocated to further development of technology and expansion of product portfolio with new brands, especially in the premium category.
