What is accounting supervision?

The accounting supervision service provided by external professionals is mainly intended to ensure compliance with current accounting regulations and standards. Its scope includes, in particular, reviewing the form and content of source documents, reviewing postings made on the basis of those documents, and assisting in the preparation of disclosures and reports, such as tax returns and financial statements.

  • When to use accounting supervision?

It is worthwhile using accounting supervision to mitigate the risks associated with bookkeeping, especially in the event of temporary staff shortages, such as in the position of chief accountant.

  • What are the benefits of using Grant Thornton professionals for accounting supervision?

The main advantage of employing external accounting supervision is the reliable verification of accounts, tax returns and reports (e.g. GUS, NBP) by accountants with many years of experience and the relevant professional qualifications. Other benefits include professionally prepared management reports and consolidation packages, as well as expert assistance with challenging accounting issues.
