Combining resources is also expected to accelerate market consolidation efforts, while for Skynet the transaction marks the start of the next phase of development as part of a larger capital group.
FixMap sp. z o.o. is a Polish telecommunications group pursuing a buy-and-build strategy, focused on developing fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) internet access in less densely populated areas. The group manages 22 local ISPs and has approximately 422,000 HP (homes passed) and around 132,000 active connections.
Skynet sp. z o.o. is an FTTH operator in the Mazovia region, with a network footprint of nearly 60,000 HP and close to 20,000 customers in the Warsaw metropolitan area. The company plans to further expand its network, including through projects delivered under KPO/FERC programmes.
