Grant Thornton advised Energa Green Development from the Orlen Group on the acquisition of Farma Wiatrowa Szybowice

We are pleased to announce another successful transaction involving Grant Thornton experts. This time, we supported Energa Green Development from the Orlen Group in the acquisition of a 100% stake in Farma Wiatrowa Szybowice.

As part of the transaction, we provided advisory support in financial and tax due diligence, transaction advisory, preparation of financial models, and valuation.

In this transaction, Onde and Goalscreen Holdings Ltd sold 100% of the shares in Farma Wiatrowa Szybowice to Energa Green Development from the Orlen Group for approximately 60 million PLN.

Farma Wiatrowa Szybowice owns the wind farm project named Szybowice, with an installed capacity of 37.4 MW, located in the Prudnik municipality. The farm is expected to be completed by the end of 2025 and will be the first wind farm of the Orlen Group located in southern Poland.

Energa Green Development is a company within the Orlen Group responsible for the development of onshore renewable sources. In its portfolio, the company also holds greenfield photovoltaic projects at various stages of development with a total capacity exceeding 1 GW. Approximately 180 MW are planned to be realized using the cable-pooling formula, utilizing existing connections also used by wind farms. According to the adopted strategy, by the end of 2030, the Orlen Group will have renewable energy sources with a total capacity exceeding 9 GW.
