In the last months we had the pleasure to advise the shareholders of ATLANTIC PRODUCTS Sp. z o.o. on the sale of their business for MACED Sp. z o.o. Both entities conduct economic activity on the pet food market. We are proud that another entrepreneurs from that market have chosen Grant Thornton’s transactional advisory.
Our comprehensive support in the transaction included financial advisory (in particular, finding the investor and preparing the business for sale) and M&A legal advisory (in particular elaborating and negotiating the complete transactional documentation). The transaction was closed on 15.04.2021.

ATLANTIC PRODUCTS specializes in the production of dog chews and dog treats. The company with 20 years of tradition can boast the highest quality of the products offered – this fact has been confirmed by the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety certificate.
MACED has started operating as a homegrown manufacture over 20 years ago – nowadays, it is one of the biggest manufacturers of dog treats in Central Europe. Products under the MACED brand are delivered to over 3000 pet stores in Poland only.
Since 2019, MACED has been controlled by Resource Partners, one of the leading private equity investors in Central and Eastern Europe. The investment in ATLANTIC PRODUCTS is therefore another step towards the consolidation of the Polish pet food market by the aforementioned fund.
As the benefit of the transaction, the Buyer is now able to expand its activity into new markets and strengthen its position among other leaders on the pet food market.
