The client is an international group of companies engaged in the distribution of construction machinery. One of its entities is based in Poland. The accounting of the entire group is maintained in a system equipped with a localization package adapted to Polish accounting standards.
Implementation of HR systems for time tracking
We began cooperation with the client over 10 years ago, taking over payroll responsibilities from another service provider. After a rapid implementation and organisation of the existing processes, we commenced ongoing service delivery. In recent years, one of the major challenges was supporting the client in adapting an IT tool for time tracking, purchased at group level for all companies regardless of location, to the client’s needs and to Polish labour law requirements. This process had to be carried out in parallel with ongoing HR and payroll operations, which required a high level of flexibility and proper planning.
Proposed and implemented solutions in the IT industry company
From the very beginning of the cooperation, the Grant Thornton Outsourcing Department team actively supported the client across multiple HR and payroll areas. One of the more interesting challenges was providing substantive support during the implementation of a new time tracking system. Our experts participated in project meetings, assessing proposed solutions in terms of compliance with Polish labour law and working time settlement rules.
Currently, we provide comprehensive payroll services along with support in selected HR areas. Our activities include, among others:
- payroll calculation and support in selected HR activities,
- ongoing monitoring of legislative changes and communicating relevant information to the organisation,
- cooperation with the internal HR department on all employee‑related HR and payroll matters within the organisation.
