We are pleased to announce, that on June 22, 2022 the transaction of sale of 100% of shares in APON sp. z o.o. to ALPLA Group was closed.
As part of the transaction the Grant Thornton M&A advisory team acted as an exclusive advisor to the owner of APON, providing comprehensive and multidisciplinary support in the financial, legal and tax area. Our specialists have guided the seller through all stages of the transaction process, including, among others, preparation of information materials about the company, identification and contact with potential investors, negotiation of initial offers, support in due diligence of the company, transformation of the company’s legal form, preparation of the SPA and other transaction documents as well as negotiation of financial, business and legal aspects of the transaction.
APON is a manufacturer of plastic packaging for pharmaceutical and e-liquid sector. Family business was established in 1985 and since then APON has built a strong position on the Polish market.
ALPLA is Austria based international manufacturer of plastic packaging products, with a turnover of approximately EUR 4bn in FY21.
Thanks to the transaction, ALPLA Group will strengthen its position on the Polish market. For APON, the transaction means acquiring an international partner who will support the company in the implementation of its development strategy and enable its further expansion.
